Loom Rugs Co. produces rugs in both traditional and modern styles. Our assortment of handmade rugs is primarily comprised of Loom Lori, hand-knotted woollen, and viscose linen. Our family has been in the carpet industry for several generations, having completed 54 years of magnificent rug-making experience.
The Loom carpets Co. is still creating a selection of fascinating carpets that infuse every home with a feeling of flair and beauty. With a wide selection of plain, textured, and patterned floor rugs, Loom Rugs Co. offers unique design using the newest styles and stylish hues. Our unique rugs, created in India, are made by hand from New Zealand wool, wool blends, natural wool (undyed), and art silk.
Our rugs are perfect balance between tradition and modernity through this combination of a classic and timeless design.

The Handwoven Lori/Gabbeh exploded onto the world market, with fresh colours, sizes and patterns, woven to satisfy the demands of markets.
These rugs are long-term investments that survive for decades since each knot is firmly tied by hand. KPSI is used to quantify quality.
To create these carpets, artisans utilize a hand-operated frame known as a loom. Made by humans rather than robots.
Vertical Loom: Using an upright loom, artisans stretch warp strings, which are vertical structural threads. Each rug is a unique work of utilitarian art.
No Pile: On a loom, makers intertwine horizontal weft threads with vertical warp threads. Kitchens, hallways, and entryways are the best high-traffic areas.
The Design: Using a canvas or principal material stretched on a vertical frame, artisans create a design. Far less expensive than hand-knotted rugs.

How a rug is made
Every rug begins as raw wool or silk and ends, weeks or months later, as a finished floor piece — dyed by hand, knotted by hand, washed, stretched and trimmed by hand. Machines have a place in a modern workshop. They do not have a place on our looms.
Procurement of the wool
The process of rug making starts by shearing the sheep and extracting the natural wool.
Spinning of the wool
Spinning is the process of transforming the wool by twisting the fibres together to form yarn.
Dyeing the wool
Once the raw wool has been spun to obtain yarn, it will be dyed in various colours needed for that particular rug.
